Her Story

Leslie's journey into the auctioneering world began in 2010 when she became a personal assistant to a Benefit Auctioneer. One fateful evening two years later, she attended a fundraiser that was short of a few volunteer bid spotters, Leslie stepped up and brilliantly rose to the occasion. From that moment, the spark was lit! Leslie decided to attend the Professional Ringman Institute so she could more fully realize her talents as a professional bid spotter. Since achieving her PRI designation, Leslie has been involved with over 200 fundraising galas since 2012. 

Leslie's love of service and helping others led her to take up work as a Special Education Teacher. She taught social skills, mindfulness, along with math. As well as teaching, Leslie also has a background in Theater, including a Bachelor of Arts in Performance from McNeese State University. Over time, she has gained more than 25 years of experience in performing arts. 

When she moved to Austin, her love of the theater led her to improv classes. She won a voucher for her first improv course at an event she supported! Many classes later, Leslie graduated from the Institution Theater in Austin, TX and was offered a Teacher Assistant position. She put her teaching and performing talents to work with Hideout Theater's Building Connections program for autistic youth.

In 2021, Leslie made the decision to embark on a career change. The following year she started pursuing an auctioneering license with the State of Texas. She graduated with the September 2022 class of America's Auction Academy and went on to learn at Bootcamp for Benefit Auctioneers about the essentials of being a benefit auctioneer. Leslie is a licensed auctioneer in Texas.

Leslie has a passion and commitment to helping non-profit organizations succeed spectacularly in their fundraising efforts. She brings proven experience to crafting custom event consultation and fundraising services that get results.
